RULE THREE: NO RUMORS

NO RUMORS

Rumors are two things.

  • they are the negative views people have about others.
  • they are the positive views people have about others.

Most people focus on the negative thoughts they have about others.

Listening to rumors will give you an insight on how the subject of the gossip acts in regard to people, and situations. However one must always remember that such stories are skewed by the perspective of the individuals telling. Also such stories may not be first hand retelling. Also human memory recall is never exact.

Basically rumors can not be trusted. They can give insight not only on the subject of the gossip. But also on the one telling the story. Their reactions about the subject can tell you more about the one speaking then you will ever learn about the subject from such stories.

One should not spread rumors. Listening to them for insight is one thing. However one should not speak of such gossip nor should one petition for such things. One understands that most gossip is lies and or half truths. Why would one actively seek lies, or help to spread them.

In Reverence, is my faith
